Dom Pérignon P2 2002 stands at the peak of its maturity and impresses with more energy than ever before. P2 represents the second plénitude of a Dom Pérignon, which is the result of a 16-year maturation. The uniqueness of Dom Pérignon is expressed more clearly than ever before and presents itself with dark, mineral, iodine and spicy notes.

A year marked by constant temperature changes and thunderstorms

The year 2002 was characterized by a constant change from cold and rainy to hot days and strong thunderstorms. The summer was visited by long bad weather periods, before the sun could pass through in the last days of August. The nice weather phase for the harvest made a huge impact on this Millésime, which is now full of character.

Hints of brioche, bergamot and stone fruit form the bouquet

In the nose, warm accents of brioche, bergamot and stone fruit can be noticed, accompanied by subtle smoke aromas. On the palate, abubbly texture dominates at first which then evolves to a more full-bodied character. Exquisite bitter notes as well as licorice and hints of malt complete the complexity of this cuvée in a rich finish.
